Because of tight deadlines, this page is designed to give our media friends quick facts about or display for news stories, wrapped up in a “press kit”. Most of this information can be found throughout our site but is summarized here for anyone who would like the information.                                                                   On the bottom of this page are links to Television and newspaper coverage we have enjoyed.

     We’ve had a large display here since 2000. That’s when we built this home and moved in. The displays in the past were strictly static meaning that the lights stayed on constantly.
       In 2006 we jumped into the next level of decorating and computerized both our Halloween and Christmas displays for the first time using Light O’ Rama products exclusively.                                                      Computerizing our display brings a whole new world of animation available to us allowing us to synchronize the lights in our display to music. The music and voice-overs are mixed in a mini recording studio in our basement.  We’ve built a stage in our garage with professional stage lighting, sound equipment and festive props and surrounded it in a plex-glass enclosure.
 

     This Halloween, Pumpkins sang three songs while trick-or-treaters visited our home.
     For Christmas, new this year, Santa host’s the North Pole Dance Club as the club’s DJ. He’s joined by his sidekick Rudolph!  The stage is decorated for Christmas and welcomes several animated characters including elves and snowmen who make up the clubs patrons.
 

       The show is nearly 19 minutes long this year with an additional 4 minutes of background music allowing visitors time to see the static portions of our display without missing any of the show.
    

     The show rotates on a loop continuously and runs Sun-Thurs  4:30-9:30pm and Fri-Sat 4:30-10:00.
     The 2008 show is our third year computerized and is met with more lights, special effects and display props. The display is completely computerized this year and has periods of complete darkness for effect. In addition, our friends and neighbors to the west of us have joined in the fun and added their home in the mix as well. That means both our houses and yards have lights that flash to the music therefore seamlessly joining two homes into one.
